My family and I did the Zip-n-Dip tour in July 2010 and it was a blast! The excursion was well organized and we had a wonderful guide named Leona. The zip line was really safe, and even though I am afraid of heights I wasn't nervous at all. Victor has a great crew there to help with the ziplining and it was obvious that they were well trained and knew exactly what they were doing. They were also very friendly and they made the zipping great fun for us. After the zipline we all went in to the monkey cages and fed and petted the monkeys. Then we were taken to a beautiful beach. At every stop the bus driver would lock our valuables in the bus and watch over our stuff and Leona was right there with us the entire time. Each stop we made had bathrooms as well. Also, they planned the entire day around getting us back to the ship on time and they got us back with plenty of time to spare. We also met Victor at the zipline area and he was so friendly and you can tell that he really loves his island and helping tourists to enjoy it. The ziplining was an awesome experience where I never stopped smiling and laughing. I felt safe the entire time and enjoyed Jason being our guide. He asked each time if we were ok which was very special. Now my favorite part....Those monkeys..OH I loved them so!! I could've held/rocked those three babies all day long. When I was little my grandfather had a monkey, and since then I always wanted to hold one again. We enjoyed the other animals as well as our guide gave us great information on them. We bought the picture/cd and felt that the photographer did an excellent job! Caylor then took us to get something to eat which was super delicious and very good on the price. We love the Isle of Roatan and plan to tell everyone we know what a fabulous time it is with Victor Bodden's tours. All the guides did an outstanding job and we appreciate them going out of their way to make our day perfect. I am a school teacher in Virginia and would like to help the children there. We just returned from a cruise and one of our stops was to Isla Roatan. We visited your tour to the Mayan Jungle. While we were there we Zip lined for the first time, what a blast !! All of your Zip line guides were awesome. We had so much fun and would definetly do it again. We also visited your monkey cages and were amazed how the monkeys interacted with people. We enjoyed holding them and they certainly made us laugh with their actions. Our tour guide Joanne picked us up at the port and stayed with us the entire day. I’m sorry it has taken so long to get back to you with my review for the Zip and Dip on 24Jun10. Stepping back into the fast pace here with work and what not makes me miss Roatan that much more. My wife and I had the time of our life. I am very sorry that I cannot remember the name of the young man that acted as our guide on the Zipline but he was great. The only bad part was that I wish we had purchased the pictures that your photographer had taken of our adventure. Next time I will be sure and purchase them. Ann was our guide/driver for the day and she did a wonderful job. After the Zipline she met us and took us on the Dip portion of the excursion. She asked where we would like to go and we told her we were most interested in snorkeling from a beach. She took us to a beautiful beach area (Bananarama) and told us the further west we snorkeled the better the reefs. We took the short walk to the far west end near the cliffs and snorkeled the most beautiful reef we’ve ever seen. Ann stayed behind and kept an eye on our gear for us. When we returned she was ready with our stuff and took us on an insider’s tour of the island on the way back to the ship. We made a quick stop at a store so I could sample a local beer and exchange a little US currency for some of yours. I had asked in my initial e-mail if that would be possible, and like every other request we had made it was easily taken care of. Thank you again so much for making your excursion and your island the highlight of what became our all time favorite cruise. We will be back again and again and will always use Victor Bodden Tours. Our trip to Roatan was the highlight of the cruise! We actually expected the opposite, however your tour was well received by all in the group (8 of us). Will was an excellent tour guide, willing to assist in any way possible for our visit. Everyone loved the monkeys. The Zip Line was alright but the monkeys turned out to be neater. I think you should advertise that the Zip Line is at beginner's level. Three in our group did not want to Zip Line but may have been persuaded if they had known it was pretty tame. Obviously, hard cores would stay away but you wouldn't want them disappointed anyway. It is perfect for the first-timer and most cruisers probably will be, so advertise as such. The beach (West Bay Beach) turned out to be the best beach we visited the whole cruise. Thanks for having us and looking out for us, we will definitely tell our friends about ya. I was scared to death, but I had a great time...this is something I would never do if I felt unsafe. The Infinity Bay Resort was great, not too crowded for the day. My daughter enjoyed some of the most spectacular snorkeling of the whole cruise. Brewer Family Reunion - KS, AL & TX:
Our family of eight (two brother and two sisters plus spouses) were on a family reunion trip aboard the Celebrity Solstice. Since Roatan was our last port we decided to spend our day all together on the Bodden Tours' Best of Roatan private tour. Pre-cruise reviews about this tour were all very positive and reservations were easily made via the internet and email. Victor Bodden was very quick to respond to my inquires about the tour and provided all the pre trip details and information. Our driver and tour guide for the day was Derrick and he was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, informative, and funny and his personal stories about life on Roatan were very entertaining. Besides showing us all the beautiful sights of Roatan, Derrick also took us to a local grocery so that we could buy vanilla and coffee to take home. Before the tour I had let Victor know that my brother would be celebrating his birthday on the day we were in Roatan. After the morning tour of the island we arrived at Victor's house where he and his wife surprised my brother with a delicious custom made birthday cake, a very special treat for my brother and a birthday he will never forget. After cake we toured Victor's monkeys and parrots and three of the guys took on the zip lines. We finished up our day with a swim at Infinity Beach, a relaxing and perfect ending to a very special day. Bodden Tours: AWESOME!! We used Victor Bodden Tours after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and also on Cruise Critic, we were not disappointed. We opted to hire a private driver for the day so we didn't have to have a set schedule. Our guide spoke very good English and drove us all over the island. We went to the highest point on the island, Victor's Monkey retreat, a butterfly garden, and West End beach. Our driver showed us the whole island, from the poorest of neighborhoods to the million dollar homes. He was informative, pleasant, and fun. We saw so many great places and honestly we can wait to go back to Roatan. We just booked another cruise for September and will again be contacting Victor for a tour. I was looking over my cruise memorabila today and I just wanted to take the time to say that Isla Roatan and your tour was one of the highlights of our cruise. Our tour guide couldn't have been better, showing us lovely views of the island as well as taking us to the butterfly house and answering all questions we had. We had a wonderful day with our tour guide, Roland. One suggestion I made to Roland is that you may want to consider some sort of “eye protection” for the Mayan Jungle zipline. On the first zip, I got something in my eye and spent the rest of the afternoon with a very uncomfortable, irritated eye. On the other hand, my son and I loved the zipline. Although I would post nothing but good comments about my experience, some folks aren’t as forgiving. I am a business owner myself, so I thought it might be something you might want to look into since “safety” is a priority with you guys and the eyes are a very sensitive part of the body. We were in Roatan on May 4 2010. We went to the Bodden Tour hut and we were introduced to our driver. He then drove us around to some places where we had the most amazing views over the island. A little shopping in between and then a stop to Victor's house where we were introduced to our guide for the canopy zip line tour. All I have to say is AMAZING and A CAN'T MISS EXPERIENCE. My son is 3 years old and he went on some lines by himself. The visit to Victor's house for ziplining and the monkey business made this trip great. I will recommend Bodden Tours any chance I get. West Bay Beach is the best. We would go back just to vacation there. Sorry we're bad with the name of the zipline guide, but my son calls him "friend" everytime he sees his picture. Victor's brother, Francisco, is the best Ambassador for Roatan! Our family of six booked directly with Victor to have a private driver for the six hours we were on the island. It was very easy to find our driver. It was a short walk from the Mahogany Bay pier where our Carnival Legend docked. It was 100 degrees in Roatan that day and we rode around in a comfortable air conditioned van with Victor's brother, Francisco. He was so good to us we actually feel like family now. Victor's petting farm with the spider monkeys, parrots, lemur's and deer was the best. We were able to get right into the spider monkey enclosure and they loved to be petted and fed. You really need to book with Victor because he usually answered my email within hours. He answered all my questions and concerns and we felt very safe with his brother. He got us back to the dock in plenty of time to board and we were never stressed about getting back on board. We want to go back! (Carnival Legend, April 29, 2010)

We just made it back to Florida today and are quite blue to no longer be on the cruise or one of the beautiful locations we were fortunate enough to visit! I can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed our day in Roatan! It was truly awesome and perhaps the very best day of our trip. Frankie was the best! We loved him and hope he can be our guide next year when we return! As you know, we did the ziplining first. Since we were not on a cruise-ship tour, we were able to move much more efficiently, load up in the van with Frankie and head right to the Mayan Jungle Canopy. Our group was literally the only people there and had an entirely personalized experience. We had several guides follow us through, got some great pictures (thanks to Peek-a-boo), and had a great time! We were the ones hanging upside like monkeys! As we were packing up to leave, we saw the other groups arriving, piling up in long lines and looking as if there weren't having nearly as much fun! We then let Frankie know that we wanted a location with a beautiful beach and a massage....and he took us to the very best place! We had our beach-beds....massages....great drinks...a good lunch....awesome....it was quiet and non-touristy. A truly perfect location. Frankie, through this entire day, was knowledgable, pleasant, fun, and became one of our group. We let him know if he ever made it to Florida, to contact us and we'd be HIS tour guide for the day! Our time on the island was WAY too short! We could have stayed there forever! Our tour guide was Doley...he was wonderful. He told us many things about the people and culture of the island. He took us to the most beautiful area in half moon bay- I am convinced if we were not with your company we would have never even seen that gorgeous area! He never once left our belongings when we went snorkeling. It was great to have total peace of mind knowing that we could just relax and not worry about anything being stolen while we were all together in the water. We were also in desperate need of 2 lifejackets for the kids....unfortunately, all of the vendors were out of them when we arrived. Because of Doley's connections and persereverance, he was able to locate 2 jackets within 30 minutes or so....I was so impressed! He went above and beyond in taking care of us. I also wanted to make note that our Mayan Jungle Canopy zip-line guide, CALVIN, was incredible - he kept us laughing the entire time. He was even able to make my very nervous 8 year-old willingly leap into the air on her first platform jump....AMAZING. We loved him! My husband and I are already talking about coming back for several days (without the kids) next year to really explore the island! Will be in touch! Tex was our driver and he was very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. Our first stop was the Elfrida Brooks School in Coxen Hole to drop off a suitcase full of supplies for the children. We were going to visit one of the orphanages, but our contact suggested the school, since it was during the day. This was a great experience for our family and especially our two boys ages 9 and 11. We then went to Monkey Business and played with the animals. The boys had a great time with the Capuchin Monkeys and the parrots. Tex drove us around the island to see the shipwrecks, and then on to Infinity Bay Resort for snorkeling. When we were there, we were not allowed to rent the chairs. Which was fine for us, since we were ok just sitting in the sand. I heard someone say that there was a place renting chairs down the beach for $10. The water is so clear and blue, and my family said the snorkeling was fantastic. I stayed on the beach and enjoyed a local beer. I would definitely recommend Victor Bodden tours. We recently had a tour with our family to Roatan with Victor Bodden tours. We were on a Carnival cruise on the Legend. There were 12 of us, 3 kids and 9 adults. We had a minivan that held us all very comfortably. Alex was our tour guide and he was great! Very informative! We had an island tour with a visit to see the monkey’s at Victors (the kids and adults LOVED THIS) then to Bananarama beach resort (beautiful) for lunch/great but (make sure of the prices when you order-we had a problem with the total when paying) and a short beach break. We sure wished that we could have stayed longer. Carnival needs to work on this, shorten time somewhere else?? I would highly recommend Victor Bodden tours to anyone not wanting to be in a large group tour from the ship. Personalized attention-beautiful island- wonderful memories. We recently had the pleasure of visiting Isla Roatan and we cannot say enough good things about it! This is greatly due to the experience we had with Victor Bodden tours. Upon arriving in Roatan, we knew nothing about it, so we were a little nervous! However as soon we met up with the Victor Bodden crew, we were treated great and immediately felt comfortable. We began our tour with Victor Bodden himself (!!) who we can't thank enough. He showed us the island, pointed out areas of interest, told us all about it and its history, and even gave us some money as a souvenier :) Once we got to the zipline and monkey encounter, we again were impressed by how nice everyone was. The zipline experience was amazing and fun and exciting, and the monkeys...well monkeys sat on our heads...what else can we say?! These were both an amazing experience you should NOT miss. Lastly we left for the beach, with a different driver who was just as friendly as Victor. He watched our bags while we swam and was happy to just hang out till everyone was done there. We got back to the cruise ship with plenty of time to spare, even though he stopped along the way so we could take pictures! In conclusion, what a great experience! Roatan was beautiful and we felt so safe there, and Victor Bodden Tours showed us the best time! We definitely plan to return and visit them again. (Carnival Valor, March 31, 2010)

We first went to the botanical gardens and he waited patiently for us to come back and when he spotted us leaving the gardens he immediately went to fetch us with the car. Because my brother and I wanted to do snorkelling for the first time, we asked him to take us to a beach where we could easily do so. He took us to a beautiful snorkelling site near West End with complimentary beach chairs. All in all it was really a great day! The car was very comfortable and in very good shape. Ali was a very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable guide. While driving he told us very interesting and funny facts and stories about your beautiful island. Johanna was a great guide throughout your island and provided us with lots of history and local information. She drove us wherever we wanted to go and was cheerful and gracious. We had a bit of a shopping transaction incident and she went above and beyond in helping us to remedy it quickly! Johanna also got us back to the pier with a bit of time for shopping before re-boarding the Carnival Legend, just as we had requested. Andrew, our driver and guide for the day, made our trip absolutely wonderful! He was cheery and helpful and showed us around your beautiful island. My husband especially enjoyed the trip by the public school as he and Andrerw went in to give several packs of markers we brought for the children. They were so appreciative and said "Thank You" in unison and in English. We enjoyed "Victor's Monkey Business" and had a lot of laughs and took a lot of pictures. The birds were colorful and gorgeous. We also enjoyed feeding the young deer. Our stop by the beach was great and it felt good to get my feet wet. Our group of 6 are all 70+ and not able to do water sports, but we really enjoyed seeing the beautiful beach and taking pictures. We seemed to have a special bond with Andrew as we quickly learned we have a shared faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It brought to mind the scripture that says "This is the day that the Lord hath made. We will rejoice and be glad in it". And we were rejoicing. We are sorry we missed meeting you.
