Customer Reviews from 2008...
Here
are a few reviews from recent guests...each tour is different,
but we try to make each one memorable.
Julie Sladek - Arlington, TX:
I wanted to thank you for an outstanding experience on Roatan. Our tour was wonderful. The driver was exceptional. I was extremely impressed with our guide. I was so pleased with our tour and the experience in Roatan. Our guide was wonderful. She was full of information and took us to some wonderful places. She gave us detailed information about the area and made our day so pleasant. It was an amazing day. I would like to thank you for offerring such an outstanding experience. I encourage you to continue to work with groups and customize the excursion to group. I would highly recommend your tours and Roatan. We really had a great time and a wonderful day on Roatan. Your guide was amazing! I hope you can recognize her in some way. She really made the day for us and made sure everything was perfect. Our whole group really enjoyed the tour guide and she made it a wonderful experience for all of us. It was by far a highly recommended experience for all of us. Keep up the good work, this was by far, one of the best excursions we have taken. (RCCL Voyager of the Seas, December 31 2008)

Kathy, Jimmy, Jeana and Liza Clarkin - Orlando, FL:
Victor Bodden Tours is the way to go!
It is affordable, safe, informative and much more personal than any excursion booked through a cruise ship.
We sailed the Carnival Legend over Christmas 2008 and this day was by far our favorite! Unfortunately it was too short.
We booked a personalized tour with his company and met our guide Janet just outside the pier as explained to us.
She showed us all over the island and explained much of the history to us.We saw the beaches, shopped and did everything we wanted to do except snorkel as the weather did not cooperate! a great reason to book a return trip!
We went to Victor's home where he has a new ziplining operation called the Mayan Jungle Canopy and an array of animals. The highlight for our daughters was ziplining in the pouring rain and then spending almost an hour with the white faced monkeys.
Janet got us back to our port with time to spare.
She was a delight and by the end of our day with her she felt like family.
We love and miss you already!
Thanks for the lasting memories. :) (Carnival Legend, December 26, 2008)

Paul Tormey - Orrington, ME:
We had six visitors to Roatan on 12/24/08 off the Carnival Valor. We reserved a van with Victor Bodden and had a great day. Yes, they took us to any shop we wanted, and to see the monkeys and iguanas and to a great relaxing beachfront restaurant and some other scenic spots. And everyone enjoyed it all very much. But here is what really impressed me about this company: our driver Marty- who was very personable and attentive- had an unexpected and unavoidable family matter to attend to during our visit. The company quickly provided not one, but two excellent replacement drivers to make sure we had seamless coverage and that our touring was not affected until Marty rejoined us after just a short while, and Victor personally met with us to make sure we were comfortable- which we certainly were! I wish you could get that kind of customer service here in the states!! I am very happy to recommend this operator as the best possible way to get the most out of your visit to Roatan! The Orchin Family enjoys the View from the Iguana Farm!
The Orchin Family - Washington, DC:
We had a fabulous time and wanted to thank everyone at Bodden Tours for
making our stop in Roatan so wonderful. Victor, you were great helping us
set up exactly what we wanted, and everything went off without a problem.
Our guide, Frankie, could not have been better. He took us wherever we
wanted to go, knew a lot about his island, and made some great suggestions.
Above all, he was extremely nice and our kids loved him. We had the best
time Zip Lining, and felt very safe and the staff were wonderful. The
monkeys were a ton of fun!!! Thanks again, and we can't wait to visit your
wonderful island again soon.

Paul and Gail Shover - Granbury, TX:
We would like to thank you for the memorable tour of Roatan on December 17, 2008. Julio was a fantastic tour guide. We asked for the best of Roatan, shopping and a good Roatan dinner and you certainly gave us that. Julio took us to Gio’s for lunch and I will say that their food was the best that we have had in a long time. The scenery was fantastic and the shopping was great. We asked to stay away from the normal tourist shops, and he found us better deals than the ship tours provided. We wanted to try some good Honduran coffee and he took us to a small store where we purchased some of the best coffee that we have ever had. The monkeys at Victor’s house were very entertaining. Gail sure enjoyed watching one in particular try to take my hat off by un-doing the velcro strap. Gail and I have decided that we want to come back to Roatan and have Julio as our tour guide again. He was great and your tour was far better than what the cruise line offered. We would recommend your tour of Roatan over any cruise line tour. We hope to see you in the future. Give our best to Julio, and once again, thank you. (RCCL Voyager of the Seas, December 17, 2008)

The Persons Family - Johnson City, TN:
Hi Victor and Ben!
We wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time on our personalized tour of Roatan. What a beautiful place and Ben added so much to the experience. I would recommend your tour company to anyone who wants the freedom and flexibility to see the island at their own pace and timeline. We had a relaxing experience and Ben has to be the best guide and driver we have ever had. Ben took us out to see the sights and was willing to adjust his path to any request we had. He is very knowledgeable about the people, history, and places of Roatan and took his time sharing his knowledge with us. He kept us safe and even watched our personal belongings while all six of us went out snorkeling in the beautiful waters of Roatan. When we came back all of our items (including cameras and a GPS) were just as we left them. When we had enough exploring and needed to get back to our ship, Ben did not hesitate and took us right to the port entrance. All of us felt that the Roatan visit was the best visit of our 7 day cruise. We think it was because of your tour company and BEN! Thank you BOTH for a hassle free and very enjoyable time! Thanks again and HOPE to see you again soon! (Norwegian Pearl, December 16, 2008)

The Thames Family...all Geared-Up!
Bobby and Dana Thames & Family - SC:
My family and I had the pleasure of visiting Roatan and the Bodden Family the week of Thanksgiving this year. We had heard great reviews from other cruisers so our expectations were high. Victor himself picked up from the port, took us around the island and then to his house for ziplining at the Mayan Jungle Canopy. This was the best port stop on our cruise thanks to Victor and his staff. The ziplining was a blast. Joshua was our guide and he was exceptional! Very thorough and safe. Victor had some of our family in the group behind us and he also was very safe and professional. All 10 of us, with ages ranging from 9-39 can agree that Victor, his crew and the experience exceeded our expectation! We would highly recommend Victor Bodden Tours!
Thanks Victor and Joshua! See you next time! (Carnival Valor, November 26, 2008)

Wendy Schmeling - Summerville, SC:
My mom and I wanted to write and tell you what a wonderful time we had in Honduras. Derek was a fantastic guide and driver. We will be back and will request Derek again. You have an exceptional tour at super prices. We loved it all. We can't wait to get back and see more of your beautiful island. I'll keep your e-mail and let you know when we are coming back. We will recommend you to all our friends. That was my mom's 1st time ziplining and and she loved it. Pedro was our guide at the Mayan Jungle Canopy and he was very professional and helped her to not be afraid.
Thank you again, (Carnival Valor, November 26, 2008)

BJ Dulasky - Summerville, SC:
Hi Victor and Derek, and Pedro... Wendy and I had a super time! We came on the Carnival Valor and we did the all day tour, iguana farm, monkeys, shopping and the incredible Mayan Canopy zip line. Derek was awesome! He was sooooo sweet, and he took some great video and pictures for us. We appreciate it so very much. Pedro was our zip guide, and I felt so safe with him. We do have some wonderful pictures and awesome memories of our trip to Honduras. We have shown the pictures to a lot of people and hope to bring a group back with us soon. Thanks again. May GOD bless you, your business and family, and of course Derek and Pedro!!!! Good bye for now...but we'll be back. (Carnival Valor, November 26, 2008)

Annette and David Mayer - Delray Beach, FL:
Hi to you all and Leonel!
My husband David and I spent a great day with Leonel. We had ideas of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see and Leonel made sure it happened. He was curious and gracious and did more than just drive us around. We learned about his life and the culture of the the Isand. Great organization. If all of Bodden tour guides are of Leonel's caliber you will have spent your time on Roatan well. Leonel, you're the best! Best regards from us both!

Hi, Victor! I just wanted to let you know what a great
time we had with Marty last week. Also to let you know
that my sister-in-laws favorite thing she did
all week on the cruise was play with the monkeys at
your house! We
very much enjoyed your beautiful island the weather
could have been a little better, but other than that,
it was perfect! If were ever back in Roatan, we
will definitely use you again. Say hi to Marty for us
he was great! Thanks again for all your help.
Hope to see you again in the future! (Carnival

Mike
and Kim Ray - Jacksonville, NC:
Hi Victor, We just wanted to let you know how much we
enjoyed our tour of your island. It was definitely our
favorite port of call as well as our favorite tour during
this cruise. Anthony did an outstanding job. He was
very informative, polite and patient with us. We learned
so much about your island. We now realize why you are
so highly recommended through Cruise Critic. You will
definitely have us giving your company as well as Anthony
excellent remarks to anyone who is going to visit your
island. Thank you for allowing us to feel at home during
our short stay. Many tours make you feel rushed, however
Anthony made sure to let us know that he was there to
let us do whatever we wanted to do no matter how long
it took. Best regards! (Carnival Valor, October 1, 2008)

Mike
Staples and Family - Middletown, OH:
Our family of eight arrived on Roatan via the Carnival
Valor and booked Bodden Tours prior for a private tour
of the island. We were not disappointed. We had Lionel
as our guide and he was great with a really good personality.
The price was only $25 a person and we went where ever
we wanted to go and stayed as long as we wanted. We
had a great overview of the island and got to play with
the monkeys as Victor Bodden's house. Roatan is a beautiful
country and you really need to get away from the cruise
port to see it and Bodden tours and Lionel is the best
way to do this. By the way Lionel was very honest and
did not allow us to waste our money at the Iguana Farm
as he stated that since it was cludy no iguanas would
even be out. (Carnival Valor, October 1, 2008)

Hi, Victor! Just wanted to send you a note about our
tour we had with you on 9/24. It was really a pleasure
to have you as our guide. It is awesome to learn about
a new place from someone who knows it so well. Ziplining
was a lot of fun, and we loved West Bay Beach that you
took us to. Spending the day with you made Roatan one
of our favorite stops on the cruise! Thanks again! (Carnival

Tim,
Juli & Nicholas Gibson - Conover, NC:
Just wanted to say thanks for the great tour you provided
for us. Lionel was awesome! He took his time to show
us the island and answer all our questions. He even
stopped and got my son a mango to try. My son loved
it! We enjoyed the iguana farm, going to Victor's house,
and the beach. Honduras was our favorite port of call.
You have such a beautiful island! We are really looking
forward to visiting again in the future. We will definitely
recommend your tour company to our friends and will
be using you in the future. Thanks again for such a
great visit!!! (Carnival Glory, September 23, 2008)

and Buck Holley, Peggy and Jeff Burnett:
I just wanted to write you a note thanking you for the
personalized tour you gave us while we were in your
area on Friday. You welcomed us into your country, as
well as your home. The zip line was awesome and we have
some good pictures as well as wonderful memories. The
tour was very informative and interesting, and we fell
in love with your family and homeplace. We also loved
the animals. On the ship, the next day, we saw the couple
that cancelled with you, (thus blessing us with the
opportunity for you to guide us) and told them what
a great time we had. Thanks again for the great time
we had. Maybe we'll see you again in the near future.
God Bless You and your family. (Carnival Legend, September

Helen
Tropp - Coral Springs, FL:
Hello Victor! We had a wonderful time in Roatan last
week. Tex was great ! My son and I enjoyed the new Mayan
Canopy Zip Line and meeting you, your wife and adorable
daughter. My husband and son had a good time with the
monkeys and overall the day was great ! I would highly
recommend your company to anyone, and will post that
on Cruise Critic in the days to come. I had bought a
number of items from your gift shop, and I love the
workmanship of your country, and bought some beautiful
unique pieces that I will treasure. In any event, loved
Roatan, and hope to visit all of you again , hopefully
next year or so. Warm regards to you and your family.

I just wanted to thank you, and Hanno, for a fantastic day when we were in Isla Roatan. Hanno took great care of us; the beach he brought us to was great, he gave us a great tour of the island, and was very informative. All six of us had a wonderful day! And you certainly made everything very easy to arrange through your website. Again, my thanks for helping to make our vacation so much fun. We'll certainly keep you in mind if we're ever down that way again, and we'll recommend you to any friends that may get down there. (Carnival Glory, August 27, 2008)

We want to thank our driver Julio for such a great day
last week in Roatan. It was really a highlight of our
cruise. We enjoyed seeing and learning so much about
your beautiful island. Julio really did an outstanding
job; very professional and informative. We really appreciated
your confirmation email when we booked, letting us know
that if Carnival changed the schedule you would still
have someone there for us - they changed both arrival
day and time, but Julio was there waiting as we arrived.
We were glad to have the opportunity to visit your home
and meet you and your family. And we loved your monkeys
and the other wildlife! Great snorkeling and lunch at
Half Moon Bay - all in all a wonderful day, we would
highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Roatan.

Franca
Oliviero and Family- Little Ferry, NJ:
Thank you so much for a wonderful tour of Roatan. We
were a group of 11 individuals and this was our favorite
stop on the cruise. William was our guide. He showed
us the shipwreck then dropped 6 members off at the canopy
zip- line. They loved it so much they would definitely
do it again. The rest of the group went shopping. We
then picked them up and went to see the animals at Victors
house. We loved the monkeys the best, especially the
two that were inseparable. Then William drove us to
Half Moon Bay. The best snorkeling we have ever experienced.
So many fish you can actually pick them up with your
hands. Then it was time to go back to the cruise ship.
We had so much fun it was hard to leave. Thank you again.
I would definitely recommend you to others. Special
thanks to William. (Carnival Glory, August 12, 2008)

Jamie
and Rob Kennedy- Baltimore, MD:
We just wanted to let you know how much we loved our
tour of Roatan. We loved that we were able to get a
private driver for just the two of us and loved the
air conditioned vehicle. Anthony was our driver and
he was full of information about the island. He stopped
to show us places of interest, such as the shipwrecks
and mayors house. He answered all of our questions and
was open to anything we wanted to do. We felt that we
really got a feel for the island and its history. We
went to the zipline first and there was nobody there
so we got to go through without any lines. Afterwards,
we went to the iguana farm where we got to feed the
iguanas while they climbed on our shoes. There were
hundreds of iguanas! Then Anthony took us to Half Moon
Bay where we relaxed on a chair and then did some snorkeling.
The snorkeling was amazing and we saw a lot of fish
all around the reef. Roatan was our favorite stop and
a place we would like to come back to and spend a whole
week. (Carnival Glory, August 12th, 2008)

David
Massey, Family and Friends - Macon, GA and Yule, FL:
We took a tour with you last week and wanted to thank
you very much for a GREAT day. We were fortunate enough
to have Victor as our guide. He was phenomenal! We saw
everything from the worst parts of the island to the
best. He truly showed us how the people live in Roatan.
He allowed us to take our time and see as much of everything
as we wanted. We truly enjoyed the time at his home
with the monkeys. The iguana farm was fun and the island
scenery was breath taking. He found out it was my wifes
birthday so he stopped and bought her a cake on the
way to his house and we shared it with his family. Victor
is truly a model ambassador for his country
and I would recommend him to anyone visiting the island.
It was the best day of our seven day cruise. (Carnival

Hello again Victor! I wanted to let you know how much
we enjoyed meeting you, and how absolutely wonderful
Cardy was as our tour guide. He is so knowledgeable
and so thorough, without being too wordy. He is a very
fine gentleman, and we could never say enough good things
about him. Our day in Roatan was, by far, our favorite
part of the cruise, and we wish we could have stayed
on for several days. It was all thanks to you and to
your driver that we had such an incredible time there!
We loved visiting your house and getting to hold and
play with your animals. My kids are still talking about
that funny spider monkey who kept digging in my bag
for food. He was so funny! Your kids are charming and
your wife is lovely. The ziplining was awesome and the
snorkeling was excellent! Thank you, again, for your
remarkable hospitality. We will recommend you and your
services to anyone we know who might be visiting Roatan
by cruise or otherwise. We will post on the Cruise Critics
Forum about what a great service you run. Thank you
a million times!! With love and gratitude, (Carnival

Just returned from my 6/22 Carnival Legend cruise. We
were in Roatan on the 27th and had Antony as our tour
guide. He was absolutely fabulous and had a great time.
In fact, my husband said that the day in Roatan was
his favorite day of the week. We did the jungle canopy
zipline, monkeys, half moon bay, and a little shopping.
I have to say that everything was done so well! Btw,
the jungle canopy was a ton of fun (I did the crazy
monkey!) and Pedro was our guide through it. I highly
recommend that activity and if you get Pedro you will
not be disappointed! The
monkeys at Victor's house were awesome and his family
was very sweet. Nothing beats snorkeling at Half Moon
Bay. Gorgeous. Roatan was unbelievable and Victor Bodden
tours helped to make it a great day. (Carnival Legend,

VICTOR IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I booked with
Victor's tours just a few weeks prior to my June 8th
cruise. I was so very fortunate to actually land VICTOR
as our personal guide while on the LEGEND that set sail
on June 8th. He was an excellent guide and took us everywhere
that was planned; ziplining, monkeys, beaches, and my
very favorite, the planned orphanage visit. Roaten is
by far my favorite spot and I am planning to go back
again this next time via Air and of course hook up with
Victor to tour once again. You will NOT be dissapointed.
He is a wonderful person. All my best. (Carnival Legend,

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful job Tex
did on our recent visit. We sailed on the Legend. It
was supposed to be in Roatan on Friday, June 6th, but
Carnival flipped the itinerary due to the tropical storm.
I was worried that we wouldn't still have Tex but I
was pleasantly surprised to find that was not the case,
and you had made reccommodations for the change in the
ship's port date. Tex met us, and was immediately warm
and welcoming. He led us to his van-immaculate, clean,
and made us comfortable. We told him that the only definite
things we wanted to do was to allow our sons to zipline,
and we wanted to see how the locals live, and see the
'real' island. He was extremely accommodating, and suggested,
if there was time, a beach visit. He was extremely friendly,
and answered all of our questions-he is very knowledgeable
and a wonderful representative for your company. I have
already recommended your service (and sent kudos about
Tex) to the boards already. Thank you, and Tex, for
providing us with a terrific introduction to your island.
We are hoping to return for a longer visit. (Carnival

on CruiseCritic - Colorado Springs, CO:
Awesome tour! We used V. Bodden tours June 3rd and had
Jorge *pronounced George* aka Pilo as our driver. He
used to work on the Carnival ships and told us about
that and just about everything about the Island. Victor's
house was awesome, tons of monkeys jumping all over
you and climbing around. He has a racoon, deer, lemur,
and a cool little anteater. Check out his wife's little
shop before you leave, we found a set of nice coasters
for $10 half of the cost then the shops in town. We
ended up being taken to lunch at Half Moon Bay resort,
and all I can say is WOW! The seating is waterfront
and you can see a little cave in the distance. The water
is crystal clear and people were snorkling right off
the beach. The food... beware the coconut shrimp! They
are mean and you get lots of them, the best shrimp I
have ever eaten and I ate a lot of shrimp via dinner
on the ship. DW had the lobster pasta and couldn't kill
but half it, so what i am getting at you get your money's
worth at this place. If you do go there get a Rum punch
for me, they are soo tasty. Also, for those intrested
in Ziplining they did take us to a place for it. Pirates
of the Carribean zipline, we chose not to do it but
its $45 for the basic one and $65 for the extreme. Looked
really fun! (Carnival Glory, June 3, 2008)

Kristi,
Nelson, Colton, and Madelyn Grubbs - Stanford, KY:
I booked a Bodden tour after reading the comments from
past visitors, and am very glad I We were there on Tuesday
(Carnival Glory) and had Janet as our guide. She was
born and raised in Roatan, and is of English descent
(she said the English were the first on the Island).
So of course her English was perfect! We had her drive
us to the Mayan Princess, where we paid $10 pp for use
of their resort. The pool and grounds there are breathtaking.
The beach and water are unbelievably beautiful. Janet
waited for us along w/what I assume to be some other
drivers. She came around occasionally and asked us if
everything was okay and if we needed anything. After
we left the beach, we took a tour and went into town
(was it called West side maybe?) This was a great place
w/the small shops on a dirt road. She drove us around
and showed us different areas, from the poorest to a
big fancy mansion that the mayor lives in. Janet even
stopped and bought us some freshly picked bananas from
a local. We asked to be back by 5pm and she had us there
on the dot. She was very professional and friendly,
informative and drove very safely. I would highly recommend
her. I just wanted to let you know what a great job
that she did. She knows Roatan very well and was very
friendly and informative. She answered every question
and even offered info on things we wouldn't think to
ask. I loved the day I spent w/her and even hugged her
goodbye. She felt like an old friend by the time we
said goodbye at the end of the day. I told her I was
going to let you know what a great job she did and that
you should be proud to call her an employee. I would
highly recommend her to anyone that needs a great tour
guide. Roatan is definitely a place to return to and
I would go back in a second. I recommend booking w/Victor
just for the piece of mind that you will be taken care
of for the day. It was well worth the $100 + tip for
the 4 of us.
Anyway, i just wanted to send a big thank you out to
you and Janet for making our day wonderful! She is a
great asset to your company and I felt so comfortable
booking through you. You get an A+ (Carnival Glory,

Rick
& Karla Peloquin - Phoenix, AZ:
My wife and I were in Roatan on May 16th. We booked
your services for the day and Anthony was our driver.
My wife and I wanted to tell you that he made our experience
such a wonderful one! He was very friendly, knowledgeable
about the island, and willing to take us where ever
we wanted to go. We wanted to see a bit more of the
local part of the island, so we started off by going
to a very small and local restaurant for an excellent
breakfast. The rest of the time, he was very informative
and a pleasure to be around. We are so happy that we
decided to book our own private tour guide for the day
that we were in Roatan. We will never forget the fun
we had that day and Anthony was a big part of that.
We hope that he gets to read this letter because we
would like to thank him again for making it a special
visit. We hope to come back and visit some day. Roatan
is a beautiful island! (Carnival Legend, May 16, 2008)

Conquering the Rope Bridge at Jungle Canopy
Lisa
Roth - Catasauqua, PA:
What an awesome tour. We are so glad we booked this
excursion through you rather than through our cruise
line. After talking to others on board our ship, we
realized how much more we did. Pedro was excellent as
a guide through the zip line jungles. Never once didn't
we feel safe. Our driver was excellent as well. He gave
us a tour of the island and stayed with us the entire
day. Thanks again for everything! (May 2008)

Jean
and Carolyn Gordon - Bradenton, FL:
We had our tour with you last Wednesday. Our driver
was Ali. Just wanted to tell you that we had the most
enjoyable day. He took us all over the island and we
were able to see so many things that we wouldn't have
seen on a ship's tour. I really loved visiting your
home. We met your very nice wife and a nice young teenager
took us around to see all the animals. He was quite
knowledgeable. I loved the little spider monkeys.I hope
those pics turn out good. I'm so happy that we booked
our tour with you. Thanks again for a great day. Roatan
was our favorite port. (Carnival Valor, May 14, 2008)

Mark
and Jane Wheaton - Woodstock, NB, Canada:
THANKS! Just wanted to drop a quick note to say we were
very pleased with our day in Roatan. After having read
several reviews on Cruise Critic, we had decided to
request Ali as our driver for the day. We were thrilled
when we did indeed get him as our guide. We had a great
day together. He took us very efficiently to exactly
where we wanted to go, and we enjoyed it as he shared
his love for his own island. The beach and water at
Foster's West Bay Resort (Ali chose this location for
us) was fabulous. Thank you for a wonderful time and
hope we can come back some time. If we do, we will definitely
be contacting Victor again and asking for Ali. (Carnival

Gail
Foley - Stafford, VA:
We just left Roatan on the Carnival Legend, and I did
not want to waste any time in thanking you for our wonderful
day there! Our group consisted of seven women, ranging
in age from 11 to 75. Our guide for the day was Cardy.
He is a wonderful guide and took the time to ensure
that we were all comfortable and getting exactly what
we wanted out of day on your island. My sister is disabled
and he took extra care in making sure that she was able
to get in and out of the vehicle safely. He was VERY
respectful and attentive to all of us and answered our
many questions with a smile. I will highly recommend
your company, and Cardy (!) to others visiting Roatan
on a cruise ship! Please tell Cardy that Gail and the
ladies send their warmest regards and thanks for making
our day on your island truly a memorable one! (Carnival
Legend, May 2, 2008)

Holly
Rogers - Gahanna, OH :
I booked a Bodden tour after reading the comments from
past visitors, and am very glad I did. We came to Roatan
via cruise ship on April 9, 2008. Julio Bodden was our
tour guide and he was great. He took us all over, told
us all about the history, life, people, etc and shows
us some really cool things. He took us to a great local
restaurant where we enjoyed native dishes and looked
out over the water, while chatting with other guests.
I could really spend some time on Roatan after seeing
it up close like this. Roatan is a genuine
island with nice people. We felt like we had a pretty
good understanding of Roatan when we left. This tour
was so much better than anything weve ever had
on the cruise ship. You cant go wrong booking
this tour! (Norweigan Sun, April 9, 2008)

Pat

Thanks to you and Tex for making our time in Roatan
so enjoyable. We truly enjoyed our personal tour. Tex
took us to some beautiful places and well as time to
snorkel and just "veg out" by the water. We
sure will recommend you to others coming to Roatan.
We also loved meeting Koki the monkey at your house
even though he tried to steal my earring!! Good Luck
to all of you! (Norweigan Sun, April 7, 2008)

David
Leeson & Family:
Our tour last week with Tex was great. Thank you for
booking our tour at the last minute and taking care
of us. Tex was a good host and very flexible to our
needs. We enjoyed having lunch with him at his local
restaurant choice which was outstanding and talking
about Roatan, cultures and children. We are already
planning a return to your island, there is far more
to see then the six hours we spent off the cruise ship.
Look forward to seeing you and Tex again. Best
wishes. (Carnival Legend, April 4, 2008)

Ronald Shows Wanietta & Her Group How To Get the
Iguana To Crawl-up Your Leg!
Wanietta
Stuckey - Fort Wayne, IN:
Ronald was our tour guide for the day in early April
of 2008. We had a spectacular time. There were four
of us and we all enjoyed the tour of the island with
Ronald. He was very knowledgable and agreeable. He stopped
when we wanted to take a picture or several and helped
to interpret when we didn't understand the islanders.
He took us to the iguana farm which was absolutley amazing!
We enjoyed walking through the areas watching the iguanas
sunning themselves. We even got to feed them. Ronald
showed us how if you hold the tree branch close enough,
the iguana would climb up your leg just to eat. We were
all too chicken to try it, so Ronald did it for us.
It made for a spectacular picture. One in our group
even had the nerve to touch the iguanas.
Next we went to see the friendly monkey. Our guide Ronald
has been there a few times. He was able to tell us all
about the animals there. We especially liked how he
knew the monkey and the monkey seemed to know and understand
him too. The one thing that happened was that the monkey
climbed on top of the shoulder of one of our group members.
Then the monkey noticed the cigarettes in his shirt
pocket. He reached down and dumped all the cigarettes
into the pocket. Ronald said, "No." and the
monkey immediately stopped. It was so exciting to see
such an exotic animal up close and be able to hold him
too.
Ronald then took us to a wonderful beach area where
we lounged in the sun and shade, swam in the ocean,
and spent time with some area residents. Ronald made
our day one of the best days we had while on vacation.

We visited Roatan in March of this year and were treated
to a tour of your wonderful island by Lionel. We have
travelled quite abit over the past few years and of
all our tour guides, I must say that Lionel was one
of the best and friendliest that we have had the pleasure
of meeting. Please pass on our regards to this very
fine young man and once again tell him how much we enjoyed
his company. (NCL Sun, March 31, 2008)

Melissa
Bryant - Arlington, TX:
My family & I had a WONDERFUL time in Roatan thanks
to you & your tour company. Ann was our driver so
my thanks go out to her as well. We came in on the Carnival
Legend March 21st on a rainy day. Our original plan
was to visit the zip lines, iguana farm, and monkeys.
We were somewhat diverted due to weather however, that
ended up being the best thing! We met up with a family
friend that lives on the island. She joined us at the
port & toured us around. The West End was GORGEOUS!
We didnt make it to the beach but the views were
enough to take our breath away. We visited a private
school that our friend is affiliated with as well as
the oldest Methodist Church on the island. Lunch was
made for us by a friend of hers coconut milk,
pastelitos & pineapple cookies. It was yummy! We
met 40 local children in Flowers Bay that attend the
church & use the library that our friend established.
It was pure joy to work with the kids on crafts, coloring
etc
My son even played basketball with a few of
the boys! To see the simple enjoyment on their faces
as we delivered chocolate to them was amazing. Roatan
was our favorite stop I cant wait to return
for an entire week or more! (Carnival
Legend, March 21, 2008)

Michelle
Mabis and Clyde Lucas - Indianapolis, IN:
My fiance and I were fortunate enough to read about,
and book, a Victor Bodden tour over the internet. Victor's
company and staff members were wonderful. The tour of
Roatan was great and our tour guide, Julio, was extremely
knowledgeable. The tour was very private and personal,
something that we had never before encountered on our
travels. If you have a certain interest or are curious
about a certain aspect of the island, be sure to mention
it to your tour guide and Victor Bodden tours will make
sure that you experience it on their island. We stopped
by a local hospital as well as a school all at our request.
If you want an affordable tour, that is personalized,
and without the cruise ship crowd, then you should definitely
book with Victor Bodden tours as you will not be disappointed.
It is the only way to truly experience Roatan. The customer
reviews speak for themselves. Thanks again Julio and
Victor Bodden tours! (Carnival Legend, March 14, 2008)

We had a memorable tour of Roatan with much thanks to
Julio! The trip far exceeded our expectations! Visiting
the little Kindergarten was the highlight for me (Im

Zip lining was a riot! We both loved the little monkeys
and as you can see, they loved us too! We will recommend
your tour company to everyone we know that is travelling
to Roatan. Thank you again for taking the time to show
us your beautiful country and for getting us back to
our ship in plenty of time before sailing! (Norwegian

Our Victor Bodden tour was great. Thank you, Theris,
for a wonderful and informative tour. Of course the
day we were there wasnt the greatest
.raining!!
And it was the 4th day in a row getting off the ship
so we were a little worn out, so it was nice to have
a comfortable drive around the island and see all the
sights. But we all agreed it was the best day of the
4! We'll highly recommend your tours to anyone coming
to Roatan and after seeing some of the beautiful resorts
Ive even got online and have checked into coming
back for a longer visit. Thank you again. (Carnival

Blake loved the Monkeys (or, was it the other way around?!)
at Victor's
Randy,
Michelle, Blake and Delaney Nisbett - Oklahoma City,
OK:
We visited this beautiful island in February 2008. Ole
was our tour guide in his clean and very cool van. We
LOVED the zip lines!!! I would suggest this to all!
The iguana farm was very informative and interesting.
The monkeys were beautiful and we could hardly drag
our kids away! Ole took us to a VERY delicious place
for lunch that we looked right out on to the beach.
Ole was a WONDERFUL tour guide. You would be lucky to
hang with him for the day. The scenery was absolutely
BREATHTAKING!!!!! To end our day we stopped and did
some snorkeling around the reef. It was MARVELOUS! We
came in on Voyager of the Seas and this was the highlight
of our cruise!!! We have told everyone how beautiful
it is in Roatan. We can't wait to come back! Thanks
for a wonderful day (it was way too short of a stay!)

I want to thank you so very much for a great day. We
were there February 27, 2008 and had Angel Cerrato as
our guide. He couldn't have been more friendly and helpful
to us. We felt like he was an old friend just showing
us his town. The zipline was great fun, only a little
bit harder than we expected, we didn't even do the extreme
version. But over all it was a great experience. I would
just like to tell you once more how great Angel was
to us. Thank you again and I hope we will be coming
back there, your country is beautiful. (Voyager of the

Just a note to say what a great time we had with Carlos,
touring the island and snorkling. We loved visiting and
hope to get back that way sometime. Thanks for a great
day and a great time. Your island was my husbands favorite

prior to our trip. Although I didn't book before we
left for the cruise, I was able to get in with you after
we arrived because I knew where to find you. Thanks
again! God Bless Y'all! (Voyager of the Seas, February

We had so much fun on our tour of Roatan with your company..
it was the highlight of our trip. Cardi Grent was wonderful,
we all fell in love with him. I can't say enough good
things about him... he was so good with the kids, attentive
to every need, informative, friendly... he made us feel
like we were being shown the sights of Roatan by a friend
rather than a tour guide. Roatan is so beautiful, the
beach was gorgeous, the monkeys at your home were fun
and the iquana farm was a fabulous experience. We would
love to come back and spend some time on your beautiful
island. We will be there as soon as I can figure out
how to make that happen. Again please extend our thanks
to Mr. Cardi for showing us such a great time. Thanks
again! (Norweigan Spirit, February 26, 2008)

I just wanted to email you and tell you what a great
tour we had with your guide, Laura. Thank you for setting
us up with her. She was very knowledgeable, and I felt
like I was being very well taken care of. She took us
to your house, to the butterfly park, to Half Moon Bay
to snorkle and for lunch, and showed us some other interesting
places around Sandy Bay. We very much enjoyed her company.
She was delightful as a guide and I know that we certainly
will be asking for her again if we come back. Again,
thank you. I will most certainly recommend Victor Bodden
Tours to anyone I know coming to beautiful Roatan Island.
Warmest Regards! (Norweigan Sun, February 25, 2008)

My family and I send a big thank you to Angel our guide and
your service. Our stop in Roatan was the highlight of our
trip and because of the wonderful day we spent with Angel.
It is one thing to get in a cab and enjoy the beach, but it
is a gift to see most of the Island and gain the knowledge
from someone who has spent their life there. We were able
to enjoy so many things that Roatan has to offer and have
now put it on our list for a definite return. Thank you for
the memories! (Carnival Valor, February 20, 2008)

I wanted to thank you for the great time we had in Roatan.
My wife, daughter, sister and myself all spent the day with
Albert. We did the extreme zip line (my sister chickened out),
visited your home, hit the beach and did some shopping. Albert
was great. He told us a lot about Honduras that we didnt
know and showed us all of the local highlights. My daughter
loved the monkeys at your home and I didnt think we
would get her away from them. The guides on the zip line were
very fun and helpful. We will all rave about your company
to anyone that is planning a trip to Honduras. We will be
back. (Carnival Valor, February 20, 2008)

Donna

We just wanted to extend special thanks to the Bodden tour
company for a day we will always cherish. We spent the entire
day with ALI, who was just fantastic! He took us anywhere
we wanted to go. We saw so much and learned so much about
Roatan from Ali. I wanted something to take home to the children
I teach, Ali made it possible for me to get some Hondurus
money for each of the children I work with. Some of our party
had a fun time at the Canopy Jungle ziplines, going to the
iguana farm was a great opportunity, then we went up to the
View where we did some shopping from the vendors and took
some beautiful pictures. We ate at Wimm's Caffee just down
the road from the View. We saw alot of Roatan just riding
around and of course we went to Victor's house. We had a lot
of fun holding the monkeys, They were so cute! We met Victor's
lovely wife and children. We loved meeting your family and
seeing the animals. Your wife and children are lovely. I had
a very nice visit with your daughter, Bianca. I told her that
I have twins her age that turned 18 this past Monday. We talked
about her going to a university here in the states. We did
some shopping on their front porch shop. I can hardly wait
to return to Roatan. If you ever get a chance to visit, make
sure you book with Bodden tours, it is a great way to see
the island. All of the tour quides we met were so nice, but
ALI you are the best!!! (Carnival Valor, February 20, 2008)

Darren
Follweiter & Sarah Randall:
My fiancee and I would like to let anyone who's thinking about
using Victors tours to know we highly recommend it. We booked
a tour in Roatan privately instead of going with the cruise
ship tours mainly because we wanted to see as much of the
island as possible and the tours mainly only concentrated
on 1 site. We were both kind of iffy about the idea of going
with a private tour, but after our experience with Victor
Bodden Tours we may start considering it on a regular basis.
When we arrived on the island at about 9am all we had to do
was walk across the street and there was Victor. After quick
introductions we started off to where the car was parked with
Hanno, our guide for the day. He brought the car down to us
from where it was parked and from first glance it looked slightly
beat up, but once inside we found that it was very comfortable
and the air conditioning worked well, although for a lot of
the trip we had it turned off and the windows down so we could
enjoy the island air. As we started through the streets Hanno
did a very good job of informing us of our surroundings, giving
us a good amount of history and pointing out sights. We drove
through Coxen Hole first and then stopped at a ship wreck
just outside of town where he stayed with the car and let
us walk down to the water for better pictures. Next was another
ship wreck but it was kind of obstructed so we didn't get
out of the car for that one. Then on we went to the top of
a hill where we could see around almost the entire island
with the most amazing view of the water and reefs. There was
some shopping to be had at a few stands at the top of the
hill as well. Next Hanno brought us to the Iguana Farm where
we found the $5 pp entrance fee to be well worth it, and just
as a tip instead of buying the $4 per bottle of water off
the ship the little store at the farm sells perfectly good
bottles of water for $1 american. We had a blast feeding all
the iguanas and seeing the animals they had there, as well
as trying to pick out the different fish in their "fish
tank". Hanno was very knowledgeable when it came to the
different species of animals there fish included, he knew
all of their names and even what animals where imported and
from where. I read a few reviews where people said they where
unhappy with the farm, but I found that it was well worth
the entrance fee. We spent some more time driving about the
island listening to the various facts Hanno had to tell about
the area, and then we arrived at Victors house. The short
road in was kind of bumpy and there where some broken down
cars to the left of the drive way on the way in but the yard
was still well kept and clean. There where a few animals to
see here but we where most excited about getting a chance
to hold live monkeys. Victor didn't let us down, the monkeys
where amazing. We started off looking at the 2 larger spider
monkeys after Hanno warned us about them, they are very sneaky
and like to grab things and not give them back. We where still
able to hold their hands though as long as we didn't let them
get hold of anything we didn't want them to have. Next we
where handed 2 small monkeys, 1 was a spider monkey and the
other looked like a small gorilla, I don't remember the name
of the species. Both were very friendly and very soft. Other
animals included a small ant eater, a deer, as well as a night
monkey I believe was the name. The entire visit was WELL worth
the $2 pp entrance fee. Very memorable experience. After Victor's
house we headed over to the west end of the island to visit
the beach. Here Hanno dropped us off and let us wander around,
but whenever we headed to the car he'd be right there ready
to take us where we wanted
to go. It was really nice to have our own personal guide and
protector. Next we headed back into Coxen Hole for shopping.
Hanno took us to Yaba Ding Ding first but before going in
there he walked us across the street to a store where he said
we'd find good prices. Upon entering we where kind of scared
by a rather low hanging dripping air conditioner and we didn't
spend much time there, I beleive it was called new souviners.
After some time shopping though we realized the prices in
that store where WAY better then others and really wish we
had taken Hanno's advice. Their carved wood chests where by
far the best priced we found on the island and it was quite
a ways away from the dock. We then headed over to Yaba Ding
Ding and I can't say I was impressed
by their prices, they weren't bad but they weren't amazing.
After Yaba Ding Ding we both decided we would like to go off
and explore the shops on our own, so we asked Hanno if he
could drop us off at the shops near the cruise dock so we
could wander around there, he said it was no problem. Hanno
drove us to where we wanted to go and after good byes we parted
ways. We would both like to say that Hanno pretty much made
our trip, we both want to return to Roatan one day soon and
owe a lot of that to his hospitality and friendliness. Hanno
was very profesional, well spoken and informative, I would
highly recommend him to anyone looking to visit this island
looking for a guide. From Sarah and Darren thank you Hanno
and Victor, you made our visit to Roatan one to remember.

My husband and I would like to thank you, Cesar and especially
Anthony (our driver) for the great day that we had on our
cruise stop in Roatan last week. What a beautiful island!!
Anthony was very hospitable and enjoyable to spend the day
with. He's a keeper (very good tour guide). The ziplines were
very fun (scary at 1st) and we really enjoyed getting to play
with the spider monkey and baby gorilla at your house. The
beaches are nice and quiet, the water is clean and just the
right temperature for swimming/snorkeling. Thanks again. We
hope to come back again. (Norweigan Sun, February 18, 2008)

Nolet - Madison, WI:
We had a fantastic time on our tour of Roatan! Our guide made
the most of our short stay, visiting the zip lines, monkeys,
sunset at the beach and some beautiful photo spots! He also
helped us find some good shopping spots for everything we
wanted. He shared his deep knowledge of Roatans culture
and history along the way. The
monkeys were so sweet and Victors daughter was a delight.
We look forward to another visit where well stay much
longer. Roatan is a beautiful place and Bodden Tours was the
best way to see it.

Hi Victor-I wanted to thank you for a wonderful tour. Please
thank Cardy for us - he did a great job of taking care of

Just wanted to let you know what a GREAT time we had with
Ben on Wednesday, February 13! He was awesome and really did
give us a day that we will not forget. After hearing what
the others in our cruise group did (that didn't go with us)
we feel very fortunate that we chose your company. We absolutely
loved the zip line and the tour of the island was absolutely
beautiful! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful day! (Costa

We were in Roatan last week on the Costa Mediterranea. I had
done a lot of research on the tours offered by the ship and
also independent tours. I booked through Victor Bodden Tours
based on the rave reviews here on their site and also on Cruise
Critic.com. We were SO glad that we did. Our tour guide/driver
- Anthony - was the best! He gave us a lovely tour of the
island while giving us an overview of it's history, life on
the island, etc. We got some of the most lovely views I have
ever seen from the top of the mountains!! He then drove us
over to Victor's house where we met his wife. We got to see
all the animals there and even got to hold a couple of monkeys!
Then we went to the West End to a little place where we could
sit in lounge chairs, eat, drink and snorkel..... it was VERY
relaxing and absolutely gorgeous. We can't say enough about
Anthony...he was so personable and informative and gave us
a day on Roatan we will not soon forget!!! (Costa
Mediterranea, February 13, 2008)

an excellent job at showing our party of 6 his island home.
He was very informative, knowledgeable and very friendly and
easy going. Our stops to watch the dolphins, a visit at to
see the monkeys, lunch stop, beach stop, viewing of a ship
wreck, and drive around the Island was the highlight of our
destination stops of our cruise. I would recommend Bodden
Tours to anyone that plans a vacation or has Roatan as one
of their destination stops. (Norweigan Sun, February 11, 2008)

Jan and Koki at Victor's
Jan
Blankenburg - Avon, OH:
We had a terrific tour with our guide Tex. It was nice to
have just the 6 of us on a tour. We could go where we wanted, and
stop when we wanted. Tex gave us a very informative tour of
the island. When thirsty, he found us great places to stop
and sample the local beers. We went to see the monkeys, and
that was great fun!!!! He took us to a lovely beach, and found
a great place for lunch. We got to see more of the island
than those that took the cruise ship tours, and I would highly
recommend Victor Bodden Tours.

Delayne
& Heidi Johnson - Milton, WI:
My sister-in-law and I were just in Roatan on Friday, Feb
8th. We wanted to let you know that we were very happy with
our tour. Julio Bodden was our guide and he was fantastic.
We felt very lucky to have him as our tour guide. He took
us all over the Island and answered every one of our questions
and also gave us so much information about Roatan and the
people. He brought us to a great place for lunch as well.
Julie was very patient while we shopped and even helped us
to make our choices. We loved Roatan and both Heidi and I
agreed that of the four stops on our cruise and the excursions
we took on each, that Roatan and our tour with Julio was definately
the best. We would highly recommend Victor Bodden tours to
any of our friends. If we are ever so lucky to get back to
Roatan ourselves, we would definately request Julio as our
guide again as well. Thanks Julio for the best day!!! (Carnival

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed your tour. Lanny
was great, he had a lot of interesting information about the
island. We had a lot of fun; the snorkeling at Half Moon Cay
was the best of our trip. Roatan is a very beautiful place,
and we hated to leave. We would recommend your island and
your tour to anyone. Cheers!

I am taking this time on behalf of all 12 of us that took
your tour on feb 1 to thank you so much for the excellent
time we had learning and seeing your island and personel visit
to your home. It was unbeleivable to us and you made us feel
at home. Out of all the ports that we stopped at this is our
favorite. I am so glad that there was a change in our cruise
itenary which change to stopping at roatan. We were very disappointed
that time on your island wasnt longer. It was the shortest
port! I have already sent out many excellent reviews to use
you for a tour on your island. The group I was with still
and many months to come will talk and reflect on our visit
most of all of meeting you. We have returned home to 35 degrees
and snow. We are looking into another cruise next year with
your island as a stop. If not on our cruise we are looking
into staying at an all inclusive resort on your island and
will hopfully be able to book again with you if your not too
busy. Thanks again so much look forward to seeing you again.
May the Lord bless you and your business. God Bless! (Carnival

Bill
and Carol Reams - Amarillo, TX:
Just wanted to say THANKS to Victor Bodden for a great day
in Roatan. It was our first time in Roatan and the highlight
of our cruise. We would highly recommend Julio as a tour guide.
He just did an excellent job, Thanks Julio! Roatan is a beautiful
island and we got to spent the entire day exploring, sight
seeing, and snorkeling. Don't miss the Iguana farm. Julio
held an Iguana and we got to feed and pet the Iguanas. We
especially enjoyed the little spider monkey at Victor's home.
We would certainly go back to Roatan and we highly recommend
Victor Bodden Tours. (Voyager

We just got back from vacation today and wanted to thank you
as our time with your tour was the best of our trip! Tex was
awesome. We couldn't have asked for a more accommodating,
intelligent guide. Roatan was beautiful and we will definately

thank you!

Wow just got back from tour with Bodden's driver ALI. what
a great time seeing the island, swimming, seeing and touching
Mokeys, Iguanas and an Anteater!! My most favorite shore excursion
yet. Seriously
after talking to guests using pierside services , or RCCL
tours the Victor Boden tour wins on all counts, beat the crowds
and see what others never will see. I wanna go back!!

I just wanted to let you know how great our tour with Tex
was while we were in Roatan. He was awesome. He was very cordial
and gave us lots of information about your beautiful country.
Your wife and girls are beautiful--we really enjoyed visiting
with them (even though one of the monkeys decided to slap
me upside the head!) The baby spider monkey was so cute. I
could have taken him home with me, he was just like a little
baby. We had a GREAT time and I have recommended you to a
travel agent friend of mine. When we visit again we will definitely
look you up! Thanks again and let Tex know how thrilled we
were! (Norweigan Spirit, January 29, 2008)

Our visit to your beautiful island was the highlight of our
cruise. Lionel was our guide and he was wonderful. He was
a pleasure to listen to. He took us everywhere we asked. I'm
so glad we decided to keep our tour with your company even
after our port time was shortened. There were 8 of us in our
group ranging from 40 to 85 years young including my grandparents
who also really enjoyed the tour. Lionel took great care with
all of us. We went to your home and met you lovely wife and
beautiful children. Your animals were a real treat. The baby
spider monkey was so cuddly and loving. I took lots of pictures
of all your animals and beautiful island to bring back to
show everyone what they missed. Lionel took us to the ship
wrecks and to the beaches. We watched the sunset walking on
the West Bay Beach. It was breath taking. We were even able
to squeeze in a few minutes for shopping. We hope to visit
your wonderful island of Roatan again in the future. We will
definitely look you up when we do and will recommend your
company to all our friends. It was also very nice to meet
you. It's great that you greet your groups. Thank you for
your hospitality. Tell Lionel we said hello! (Norweigan Spirit,

I just wanted to let you know how much my husband and I enjoyed
our tour of Roatan with Albert last week. We were truly impressed
with your companys professionalism from the moment we
requested information on your website until the moment Albert
waved good-bye to us at the dock. The tour was informative,
interesting and fun and we would highly recommend it to anyone
visiting Roatan. Albert is wonderful asset and ambassador
for both your company and your island and we could not possibly
have found a more friendly and knowledgeable guide. Thanks
in part to this tour, we have fallen in love with your island
and cant wait to return. Thank you so much! (Norweigan

I am writing to thank you for our tour on January 28, 2008.
Our family of 17 really enjoyed Roatan and all of the things
we saw and the beauty of the island. Evelyn was our guide
and she did an excellant job, by the time we had to go back
to the ship she was a part of our famliy. The zip line was
fantastic even our 82 year old dad did it. We also saw the
iguana farm and the monkeys, they were great. Thanks again!

Deb
and Family - Michigan:
Just back from a fantastic cruise. There were 11 of us in
our group, ranging from teens, 20's, 40's and 60's. I had
reserved with Bodden Tours a month or so before the trip and
was excited about meeting our guide and having a great tour.
Victor met us at the booth and said he was our guide for the
day! He is an impressive young man in his 30's and we felt
right a home with him. We went ziplining, visited his lovely
home and family, went by shipwrecks for photo ops. One in
our group asked how real vine ripened bananas taste, "are
they better than store bought?", well Victor took us
to a small roadside stand and we got 11 bananas! They were
wonderful. Victor spoke proudly of the Roatan culture and
we found it all fascinating. We said we were getting hungry
for lunch and he took us to a beautiful spot on the water
were we ordered lunch, it was fun to sit around the table
and share stories with him. From the same location, we put
on our snorkel gear and headed out in the water for some time
to see the fish. Time was running out, but we also managed
to go to the beautiful beaches at West Bay Beach and walked
along there for a bit. Then the scenic ride back to the ship.
It was sad to leave the island, as it is beautiful. Thank
you Victor for a fabulous day. It did rain a bit in the morning
while we were there , but like Victor says, "a rainy
day in Roatan, is better than any sunny day at work"!
We are glad we stuck to our plans and the weather did clear
up and was sunny in the afternoon. We had a wonderful day!
Thank you again! (Norweigan Sun, January 28, 2008)

My husband and I just returned from a Norwegian Sun cruise
and we agreed that our favorite day was spent on Roatan-thanks
to the beauty of the island and our Victor Bodden tour. Our
tour guide, Julio, was wonderful-very knowledgeable and willing
to share the culture. He encouraged us to take as much time
as we wanted at each and every stop, and he recommended a
very good place for lunch! Julio is very good company and
it was a pleasure to meet him and spend time with him-we'd
highly recommend him to anyone booking a Bodden tour! Thank
you, Julio! (Norweigan Sun, January 28, 2008)

Thank you for a wonderful Roatan experience! Honduras was
the highlight of our cruise, due entirely to Victor Bodden
tours and specifically our tour guide Albert. Not only was
Albert very knowledgeable about the island in general, but
he was very patient allowing us to move at our own pace, and
made sure we knew where the best deals were and how not to
be fooled by imitations. Albert is a man of great character,
as could be seen by the many locals who knew and obviously
respected him. We feel blessed to have met him and experienced
the island through the eyes of a life long resident! I can
not imagine anyone going to Honduras and not taking a Victor
Bodden tour!! Victor obviously takes great pride in his operation
and ensuring an awesome experience. You will definitely have
our business when we return!

Victor, I wanted to take a moment and thank you from the bottom
of my heart for our day in Roatan. It was by far the best
day of our entire cruise vacation. Cardi was an amazing guide--he
showed us the most beautiful things and places I could have
ever imagined. His sense of humor and smiling face was a priceless
way to share your island with us. We thoroughly enjoyed his
company and would highly recommend your tour company to anyone
going to Roatan. We fell in love with your island and will
definitely be back! Thank you again so very much!

My husband and I booked through Victor and it was the best
experience EVER! Our
Guide Hanno was extremely friendly and showed us everything.
I had no idea we could see so much and relax at the same time.
We informed them of our interests and they made it all happen.
It was so much better than going through the cruise ship.
We had our own car and were able to beat the crowds everywhere
we went. It
was very personalized and would recommend them to all. Thanks
for making our vacation so perfect! We cant wait to
come back and tour with you again. (Carnival

Ben with Dan, Overlooking the Blue Water
The
DeAngelis, Kober and Shutz Families - Beach Park, IL:
Thank you Victor! And a big Thank you to Ben, our tour guide
for a really spectacular day in Roatan. We decided to forgo
the tours offered by our cruise ship and try you Victor, whom
we discovered on the Internet. And are we thankful we did.
We started the day early and met Ben, our guide for the day
exactly where he said he would be waiting. As time is very
limited on a cruise ship visit, we appreciated that. Our tour
started from the port in a very comfortable van. Ben was very
accommodating and offered us many options for our visit. The
first stop we chose was the Zip Line Tour. There was eleven
in our party, but only seven of us chose to Zip. And zip we
did. It was an absolute blast, and we all will remember it
for a very long time. The guides on the tour were great, and
we never felt hurried at all. There were a lot of others on
the tour, but the guides were able to take all seven of us
together in one group. It was great. Two guides
just
for us. Awesome!! By the end they had us all zipping no hands,
upside down. Even my wife, who at the beginning was very apprehensive
about even going, was zipping upside down. Unbelievable! The
guides even took great pictures of us zipping. That was an
unexpected plus. Next, we visited the Iguana Farm and then
Victors house, which was a lot of fun. Victors daughter who
is a very charming young girl showed us the Monkeys, Parrots,
Anteater, and Deer that reside there. The kids, and the adults
had a lot of fun playing with the pet monkeys. Next we had
to make a choice. Do we go to the beach? Shopping? Lunch?
We had plenty of sun at the pool on the ship, so we decided
to spend the rest of our tour getting a bite to eat, and do
a little shopping. And Ben did not disappoint. After driving
quite a ways through the beautiful island, Ben brought us
to a fabulous little Oceanfront Restaurant. The scenery was
amazing, and the food was even better. This place was so remote
and hidden away that we, or any other visitor would probably
have never found it on our own. And who would have known that
shopping at a great little street full of shops was just around
the corner. Roatan is a great place to shop! Prices are great,
the people were wonderful
never pushy, always respectful,
and very friendly. Of course the day had to end, and Ben got
us back to the ship at the perfect time. He really maximized
our time on the island and for that, we were once again
Thankful!
For anyone who is planning on a vacation stop in Roatan, Victor
Bodden Tours is the one tour to book. It made our stop in
Roatan the best and most unforgettable day of the whole cruise!

Jim
& Sharla Hales and Family - Minden, NV:
Victor Bodden is amazing! I completely endorse all of the
positive comments made about the tours. My family and I (six
of us) had a delightful day with Ben. We ziplined, visited
the iguana farm, and spent time at the beach. Ben even found,
at our request, a coconut tree that we could get coconuts
from. Ben used a machete to open a ripe coconut and our family
shared fresh coconut on the beach. It was fabulous! Ben was
friendly and went the extra mile to make sure our day was
memorable and funall at a very reasonable price.
But
our story becomes unique after we left Roatan. You see, on
our way to leave on the cruise, the airline had lost one of
our bags. It arrived after the ship left port, so the airline
sent the bag to meet us in Roatan. The bag arrived in Roatan
after our ship left there, and our efforts with the airline
to retrieve the bag from Roatan were completely futile. We
spent several hours on the phone with airline representatives
and we filled out many documents and faxed them to the airline
lost baggage departmentall to no avail. The airline
gave it up for lost and asked us to take compensation and
close the claim. I attempted to call the Roatan airport and
asked employees there to find the bag. They were unsuccessful.
In
one final, last-ditch effort to get the bag back, I emailed
Victor and asked if he would stop by the airport and look
for the bag. To my surprise and delight, he found the bag
and got it sent on its way back to us.
I
have never experienced such amazing kindness and service from
a business, and Im frankly astounded that he would go
to this effort for a past customer. Anyone planning a trip
to Roatan should definitely count on Victor Bodden to go the
extra mile in making sure the time in Roatan is delightful
and in taking care of all of their needs.
Go
Victor! (Voyager of the Seas, January 2, 2008)
