I filled out a Tour Request Form for one of your tours and didn't get a response. What's up?Nothing. But, we promise that we've responded...Usually within an hour! Be sure to check your SPAM or TRASH folder (and the dreaded PROMOTIONS-folder on Gmail!) before sending a message looking for your price quote. You're likely to find your price quote waiting for you there! You can also add VictorBodden@yahoo.com -- that's where ALL of our price quotes and emails will come from. It's a one-man-show, be patient as you search for misdirected email...and hopefully you'll find them quickly! Remember: Check your Spam AND Promotions folders -- our reply will be waiting!

Where do we meet you for our tour?Check below for your assigned assembly location for your port of arrival. Please let us know if you have any questions. TOWN CENTER at the PORT OF ROATAN COXEN HOLE (RCI, NCL, MSC, TUI, Regent, Oceania, etc): As you exit your ship, look for the Victor Bodden Tours Kiosk -- You'll see our VICTOR BODDEN TOURS signs and uniformed employees at Kiosk #1 at the port's Independent Tours area. The kiosk is staffed when ships are in-port at the Port of Roatan, so look for us at Kiosk #1. We'll be happy to answer any questions that you may have before, during or after your Roatan tour! ============================================================ MAHOGANY BAY CRUISE CENTER (Carnival, Princess, HAL, Costa, P&O, etc): As you exit your ship, guests using local independent tours are required by Port Management to exit the port and walk over-the-hill to meet their tour guides. $2 Taxi Shuttles are available at the Port's Transportation Center, to save the 250-yard walk. Once outside the gates and over-the-hill, look for our representatives holding VICTOR BODDEN TOURS signs...we'll be on the right-hand side of the road. ============================================================ If you're staying ON-ISLAND, we'll be happy to tour with you! Just let us know the name of your Airbnb, VRBO, Resort or Hotel and we'll schedule your tour!
-
What happens if my ship is running late, or changes date-of-arrival to Roatan?"No problem...this happens quite often! Your tour reservation "follows" your ship. If for any reason the cruise line switches your date or time of arrival...we will be there for you! Your reservation is attached to your cruise ship's arrival, so if you show up a day or two early (or late), we'll still know to expect you. Don't waste your cell phone minutes or internet time notifying us -- we'll receive notice and adjust your tour automatically!
-
Is Roatan Time the same as Cruise Ship Time?Sometimes! Cruise ship itineraries are based on their "home-port" time. So, if your cruise starts in Miami, your itinerary is listed in Miami time! Roatan is always on Central Standard Time (no springing-forward or falling-back here!) During Fall/Winter, we're the SAME time as Texas. During Spring/Summer, we're the SAME time as Colorado.
-
How much do I have to pay in-advance for one of your tours?Nada, Nothing, Zip! Our company requires no deposit or prepayment...you pay once you get here! The only exception is for Fishing or Horseback Riding...each of these activities will require a small deposit to "hold" your place! If you select a tour with one of these activities, we'll send more information to clarify the deposit requirements. Just because there's no deposit required for our tour, doesn't mean we think it's OK for you to no-show. We've promised to be here for you... please be here for us, too! Once you're reserved on a tour, your guide is "Locked-In" to your arrival. If you're going to cancel, just drop us an email and we can re-assign your guide and places to another family.
-
Should I print/save the tour assembly instructions/map?Yes! Print & Save BEFORE getting on your ship's internet. The speed is notoriously slow and you may not be able to open the attached images/map once onboard the ship. If you have printed/saved the map and instructions to your device...you can have the information with you when you arrive!
-
What should I bring along with me?Hats, sunglasses, cash, sunscreen, directions to the tour assembly area, beach towel, camera, Bug Spray, and anything that might be excursion-specific (shoes that strap-on for ATV & Zipline, swimsuit for beach, etc.)
-
Can I bring my mobility scooter, wheelchair or walker?Sure, for our standard private & shared tours it will be no problem. Please let us know how many assistive devices you will have with you...and we can pre-plan to be sure the vehicle has room for stowage while in transit. Your device must fold or collapse and be able to fit into a standard sized vehicle...and the guest must be able to transfer into/out of the tour vehicle.
-
I am wheelchair-bound. Is that a problem? No! Bodden Tours continues to add more Wheelchair-Accessible vehicles for use in our "Wheelchair Accessible" private tours. Please fill out the tour request form for the accessible tour that you desire...if we have one of our Wheelchair Accessible vehicles available: It's yours! Our Wheelchair Accessible vehicles have either a wheelchair lift or ramp, depending on the vehicle.
-
I'm traveling with my infant or young child, do you offer booster chairs or infant car seats? No. Unfortunately, due to sanitary reasons, we no longer have booster seats or infant car seats available for our tours. Please bring your own off of the ship with you, however, we have "modern" vehicles with seat belts, so you can install your own booster or infant chair in our vehicle...no problem!
-
I have food allergies and/or diet restrictions. Can you accommodate me?Sure! Food/Beverages are NOT provided on our tours (with the exception of our Sloth-n-Snorkel Party Boat) Feel free to bring "safe" food off of the ship with you, or order something "safe" off of the menu of the many restaurants around Roatan and along West Bay Beach. For food allergies, consult your physician and bring your Epinephrine Injector, if prescribed. Honduras is still considered a "third-world" country and cross-contamination of food products may occur...cooking procedures are "not quite" as they are in the United States!
-
Do you guarantee we'll get back to the ship on-time?Of course! It's not our first rodeo. We've been doing private tours since 2003... with 4 to 16 ships per week... up to 200+ guests per day and never missed-a-ship, yet! We wouldn't be much of a tour company if we did! Since our beginning in 2003, we've shared our island with a million guests (200 per day x 5 days per week x 52 weeks per year x 20+ years!) and never left a guest stranded! Now, honestly, there have been a lot of guests who didn't WANT to leave, but (unfortunately) we took them back to their ship anyway!
-
Do you take US Money? What about Credit Cards, are they accepted?"Our preferred payment method is US CASH at our tour office, once you get to the island. However, additional payment options are available: We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express at our tour office -- however, there is a Credit Card Fee: -The Honduran government requires credit card machines to automatically add 19% Honduran Tax onto every credit card transaction -This fee is broken down on the receipt as 15% Honduran Tax + 4% Honduran Tourism Tax -The only way to avoid these credit card taxes is to Pay in US CASH Honduran banks do not accept US Currency that is worn, taped or torn... so try to save your BEST dollars for your Roatan visit!
-
Are tips and gratuities accepted? All Uniformed Bodden Tours Employees are Salaried: Tips are NOT REQUIRED (but appreciated) for a "Job Well Done!" If ANY Bodden Tours employee asks for tips, I would like to know... That's just not the way gratuities work! Please ask to speak to me or one of the Bodden Tours managers if this happens!
-
Are the monkeys, sloths and parrots trained to do tricks?"All animal-encounters around the island (monkeys, sloths, iguanas, etc.) are with wild animals -- they won't do tricks or behave as a puppy, kitten or child. If you are uncomfortable with wild animal interactions, then please feel free to stay outside the animal enclosures! It will be better experience for you AND the animals!! For guests visiting Victor's Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary, ALL of our animals have monthly wellness checks by our local island wildlife doctor. We are a Honduras government-licensed zoological facility and veterenary training facility for WorldVets. All animals are immunized, as required by law for us to maintain our zoological license. If you would like a copy of the animal's immunization records, or have further questions, please have one of the "Sanctuary Guides" help you out! Copies of all immunization records are availabe (If you are scratched or nipped by one of our animals, and are not offered the animal's current immunization record, please ask for a copy... it's absolutely NO problem!)
-
Do I really get to hold a monkey and/or sloth?Well, you reallyl don't HOLD them...they interact with YOU. The sloths love giving hugs and the monkeys prefer to jump from head-to-head and explore everything you have in your pockets...from cell phones to sunglasses. As a reminder, leave everything you don't want examined outside of the animal interaction area (FREE lockers are available) Sloth-Hugs are available All-Day-Long... and much less crowded in the afternoon! PLEASE bring your cameras and take as many photos as you like. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we want you to remember your visit to Victor's Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary forever!
-

Or, if you already know what you want to ask: Text/Call via Whatsapp or, E-Mail Us We'll get back with you as soon as we can (Cruise Ship days can be rough, since we'll likely be answering lots of questions in-person!!)

What time do your PRIVATE ship excursions begin? For PRIVATE tours, you can begin whenever you like! The earlier the better to beat crowds and get on-your-way before the GROUP tours begin. We're at the dock when your ship arrives, so we'll definitely be ready-to-go as early (or as late) as you like!
-
Where and when do I pay for my private tour?On our private tours, you'll pay the "Base Tour Fee" at our office (located at Victor's Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary / Mayan Jungle Canopy Zipline) We accept US Currency, MasterCard and Visa. Add-on activity fees (if any) are to be paid directly to the activity operator. No prepayment or deposit is required (with the exception of Fishing and Horseback Riding) Just because there's no deposit required for our tour, doesn't mean we think it's OK for you to no-show. What time do the GROUP ship excursions leave the port? For GROUP tours, our vehicles leave the port one-hour after your ship's arrival at the dock. If your ship arrives at 8:15AM, your tour will be leaving the port at 9:15AM. It is always a GREAT idea to check-in at least 15 to 20 minutes before your tour's schedule departure... If everyone has checked-in, we will be able to depart a little earlier than scheduled to spend extra time at the monkeys/sloths/beach, etc. Remember, this is a GROUP tour with others from your ship...the earlier you can check-in, the happier everyone else in your tour will be! Definitely don't be late, out of consideration to your other tour guests. To avoid being left behind, pleae check-in at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
-
Where do I pay for the group tour...and when?On our group tours, all fees are included...just pay once you arrive at our offices (located at the Mayan Jungle Canopy Zipline and Victor's Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary) No deposits or prepayments are required...and you'll be able to pay in US Cash, Visa or Mastercard. Just because there's no deposit required for our tour, doesn't mean we think it's OK for you to no-show. We've promised to be here for you... please be here for us, too!
